“Coloring Class for Adults” Ongoing PVPL Program: Come and enjoy a relaxing time coloring with other adults. No rules, just fun! You can bring in your favorite coloring book and materials or choose from a variety of coloring pages and materials that we have to explore the simple pleasures of coloring. Some basic instruction for ideas and techniques to spice up your coloring are available. Remember there is no right or wrong way to color, just have fun!

Starting Sunday November 18th, 2018 the Prescott Valley Public Library will begin a pilot project of opening on Sundays from 1-5pm. The pilot will run until the end of April 2019. The library will collect data and input from the community to see if opening on Sundays is beneficial to the community. In order to adjust for opening on Sundays, the library will close an hour earlier Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m.

November Oasis Computer Class @ Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Civic Circle Dr) is offering Mobile Accessibility for iPhones & iPads (Mondays, November 5 & 19 from 10 - 11 am). This course is an introduction to the accessibility options built into Apple phones and tablets including:
• How to use voice commands.
• How to make text larger and reduce background clutter.
• How to use magnification features to see objects on the screen,
• How to increase contrast and use color inversion to enhance readability.
• How to configure audio for clarity.
• How to turn on captions.
• How to set up features that can help with dexterity and motor coordination issues.
• And much more.

MONDAY NIGHT MOVIE- ANT-MAN AND THE WASP
Join the Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Civic Circle Dr.) on November 19th from 5:00-7:00pm for Monday Night Movies. This month we are showing Ant-Man and the Wasp starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena. Ant-Man and the Wasp is about Scott Lang trying to balance being both a Super Hero and a father. Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.

GED Basics Help Drop in Program
Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 East Civic Circle) is hosting an ongoing GED Series. The GED is a group of four subject tests which, when passed, provide certification that the test taker has United States high school-level academic skills. We know that the GED is not academically easy and the PVPL wants to help. The PVPL will have ‘Drop In’ sessions on every Monday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm starting October 15th in the second floor PC Lab. After November 18th the sessions will be every Monday from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

In this fun, hands-on course you will learn all the basic computer skills including using the mouse and keyboard, working with Microsoft Windows 10, using Microsoft Word, surfing the Internet and using Email. The Prescott Valley Art Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to further the education, awareness and understanding of the creative arts and to promote and encourage the artistic welfare of the community. The organization holds a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month except in June and December. During the meeting information is provided on upcoming art shows and other related items, members bring in art work which is judged be members, refreshments are available, a raffle of art books is held and a presentation or demonstration is provided by a local artist.
The Art Guild sponsors art shows in the community periodically and displays art of members in local businesses as part of our Art Around Town project. All members are encouraged to participate in the activities of the Art Guild. Members pay a $35.00 annual membership fee.

Prescott Valley Public Library will offer Chair Yoga on the fourth Friday of each month. Lori Wallach has been teaching yoga for over 14 years. Her love of helping individuals ease into aging is the driving force behind her yoga. She received her 200 teacher training in 2004 and her 300 training finished in 2016. Throughout her career she has taught all kinds of yoga, from power yoga to meditation. Now, she has settled into teaching modified yoga that meets the needs of the individual and chair yoga. Chair yoga allows you to keep doing yoga regardless of your ability. The chair can also be used as a prop to help getting into the poses a little easier. Not to mention there is no getting up and down from the floor worry. Yoga will help you keep and build your strength, flexibility and balance. No signed up required
