“PVPL Quilters” Ongoing Program: Prescott Valley Public Library’s informal group of quilters meet twice a month to enjoy each other’s company, work on projects (hand or machine), and share techniques with each other. The group frequently has snacks and refreshments, as well as a Show and Tell.

Need help with your computer, tablet, phone or other technology? Prescott Valley Public Library can assist you!
PVPL provides Windows 10 laptops, but please bring any device that you need assistance with —tablet, e-reader, laptop, phone, etc.—and our experienced staff will do their best to answer your questions. Please bring USB and/or power cables for your device. Apple device users may need their Apple account credentials. Kindle device users may need their Amazon account credentials. Help with e-books requires a valid library card. People will be helped on a first come, first served basis.
Drop-In Tech Help is intended to help with learning new skills, not repairing equipment.
Drop-In Tech Help sessions are held each Tuesday afternoon, from 3-5pm and Friday morning, from 10am-12pm in the 2nd Floor PC Lab. For more information call 928.759.3040.

“Coloring Class for Adults” Ongoing PVPL Program: Come and enjoy a relaxing time coloring with other adults. No rules, just fun! You can bring in your favorite coloring book and materials or choose from a variety of coloring pages and materials that we have to explore the simple pleasures of coloring. Some basic instruction for ideas and techniques to spice up your coloring are available. Remember there is no right or wrong way to color, just have fun!

Starting Sunday November 18th, 2018 the Prescott Valley Public Library will begin a pilot project of opening on Sundays from 1-5pm. The pilot will run until the end of April 2019. The library will collect data and input from the community to see if opening on Sundays is beneficial to the community. In order to adjust for opening on Sundays, the library will close an hour earlier Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m.

Join PVPL (7401 East Skoog Blvd, Prescott Valley) & Alzheimer’s Association for the Alzheimer’s Support Group – every Monday beginning January 7th, 2019 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Genealogy Room.
Are you caring for someone with memory problems? Would you like to share your stories with others? Would you like to connect with others who understand?

History of Vulture Mine
The Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 East Skoog Blvd.) presents ‘History of Vulture Mine’. The presentation will describe the Vulture Mine’s history, geology, mining technology and impact on Arizona history. When the Civil War was raging and the Hassayampa River area was unhealthy because of malaria, the Vulture Mine was discovered. Learn of its long life, its effect on the development and history of Arizona. Leave this presentation knowing more about the Vulture mine’s place in Arizona history.

Join us Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Prescott Valley Library (7401 East Skoog Blvd. Prescott Valley) for Alzheimer's Presentation – Dementia Conversations.
Dementia Conversations will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members. This program will help with going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, making legal & financial plans, and more.

Prescott Valley Public Library will offer Chair Yoga on the fourth Friday of each month. Lori Wallach has been teaching yoga for over 14 years. Her love of helping individuals ease into aging is the driving force behind her yoga. She received her 200 teacher training in 2004 and her 300 training finished in 2016. Throughout her career she has taught all kinds of yoga, from power yoga to meditation. Now, she has settled into teaching modified yoga that meets the needs of the individual and chair yoga. Chair yoga allows you to keep doing yoga regardless of your ability. The chair can also be used as a prop to help getting into the poses a little easier. Not to mention there is no getting up and down from the floor worry. Yoga will help you keep and build your strength, flexibility and balance. No signed up required

The Sand Fleas
Join us on Friday April 26th at the Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E Skoog Blvd.) for a performance by The Sand Fleas. The Sand Fleas are part of the Prescott Ukulele Guild or “PUG” as they refer to themselves. The Sand Fleas are a ukulele-centric band that plays a nostalgic mix of 50’s and 60’s music. They will take the stage at 2:45 and have you tapping your toes and singing along before you know it.
This program is FREE and suitable for all ages. Seating is limited. So come early to get a seat.
